My name is Pim van der Zwaan and I am a professional bassplayer and photographer. On this site I combine these two occupations in order to express my passion for both.

My good friend luthier Harry Jansen of Harry Jansen's Double Bass Workshop in Amsterdam has given me the opportunity to take photographs in his workshop for many years now. In this place I witnessed many repairs, restorations of top-quality instruments as well as the birth of many new double basses. Thanks a lot Harry.
